The books that are real

Janet Morris’s 1977 debut, High Couch of Silistra, opened the Silistra Quartet — four novels of biology, power, and self-determination on a post-catastrophe world where fertility is currency. The series (High Couch of Silistra, The Golden Sword, Wind from the Abyss, The Carnelian Throne) sold millions and remains in print in Author’s Cut editions from Perseid Press. This fan site is not affiliated with Morris, her estate, or Perseid.
