Fan art only. No motion picture titled High Couch of Silistra was ever produced. This archive is an original tribute imagining a 1980 studio adaptation of Janet Morris’s 1977 novel. It is not affiliated with the author, her estate, or any studio.

High Couch of Silistra is a real 1977 science-fiction novel by Janet Morris, first of the Silistra Quartet. No theatrical feature of that title was released in 1980 or any other year.

This site is a fan exercise: a production history, cast list, poster studies, stills, and a faux IMDb listing invented as if Universal had mounted an R-rated adventure in the era of painted key art. Names of real directors and actors appear only as speculative “what if” casting.

Artwork on these pages is original generated fan illustration of fictional characters and places. It is not licensed studio art, not photography of the named performers, and not an official adaptation. Book-cover paintings by Boris Vallejo, Bob Larkin, Lou Feck, and Victoria Poyser are their copyrighted work; we describe them in notes rather than reprint them.

If you want the story, seek a legitimate edition of Morris’s novel. This archive exists only as homage and make-believe.
